SECOND VERSION OF THE.22
CAL. BOX MAG. WITH THE TEN SHOT CLIP INSERTED INTO A WWII 30 RD.
MAG.
West Hurley A.O. did "produce" two different box magazines for the .22 Cal. full and semi-auto Thompsons. the first version was a "banana" 30 round magazine which required an adaptor to be installed in the firearm to function. This magazine was used by at least three different firearms, not just the Thompsons. The only difference between the magazines is the cut-outs for locking the magazines into their respective arms. The second type of .22 Cal. magazine used a military 30 round box magazine and removed the follower and follower spring. Then a ten round straight .22 caliber magazine was inserted and welded into place. This type of magazine gave all the .22 Cal. Thompsons the correct look for the guns. |
