WHAT'S NEW

In the last issue of the Thompson Legend it was asked if

anyone had an early Model of 1927A1 West Hurley, with

the two hole "Hold Open Device" as described in the

operating instructions shown below.

Mr. Thomas Anderson replied with these photos and

information.

It appears that the early Model of 1927A1s had the two

holes in the actuator slots clear up to the serial number

4300 at least. The forward hole was the hold open device.

The actuator is pulled back  and aligned with this smaller

hole and then pulled up to lock the actuator.
