Colorists for the pencil and inked covers used strange color combinations much to the dismay of Schomburg. "Pink" rifles, etc. But Schomburg enjoyed drawing guns and his favorite subject was the Thompson. The curious thing was, Thompsons would appear in the hands of the enemy as well.

The icon nature of the Thompson was not lost on Schomburg. Perspective bending heroes towered over the Axis foes carrying equally titanic Thompsons! Compare these covers picked at random. Schomburg's work stands out, but the others provide different interpretations of the Thompson! Enjoy!
