WHAT'S NEW TWO
We have all seen the SARCO ad in Shot Gun News, for a "Field
Modification Foregrip" for the Thompson. Sarco was selling these for about $15.00.
If you were like me, you wanted one just because it was weird and inexpensive. We
now have proof from two different sources of just how and when these were used. Below is a
photo of marines on Tinian clearing out bunkers. Notice the Marine with the Thompson and
his front hand position. We also have a photo from the Smithsonian Museum of a Ml with
grip as used in WWII. A similar grip was used for the BAR. This grip was easier to
hang on to when firing into caves. To order one call SARCO at 908-647-3800. |
