FLASHLIGHT ATTACHMENT
Every once in a while it is nice to
find out something new about an item that has been in
your collection for years. Shown below is the patent issued May 20, 1952, Patent #
2597565 for a
	flashlight attachment for guns.
Issued to a gentleman from Columbus, Miss. It was meant to mount to the forearm of a
gun, in this case a Thompson. By depressing a button in the foregrip,
	the flashlight would
turn on and illuminate the target, an early form of a tactical light and or laser sight.
